JAKARTA-After a long wait, Google has finally introduced a cross-device integration feature on Android that allows devices such as cell phones and tablets to communicate with each other and work together more easily.

This feature, known for its cross-device services, was officially announced in May and recently started functioning on a number of Android devices.

This feature currently includes two main aspects, namely instant hotspots and video calls. With this feature, Android devices connected to the same Google account can share hotspots or video calls without the need for additional settings or entering passwords. Even so, this instant hotspot does not work on Samsung devices.

This service allows users to connect secondary devices such as tablets or other phones to the main phone hotspot without having to touch or unlock the main device.

In addition, video calls can be moved easily from one device to another by simply pressing the "Cast" icon.

To enable this service, users simply open Google settings on their Android devices and follow simple steps to connect the device to the same Google account.

This feature eliminates manual hassles and makes the experience of using Android devices smoother, similar to Apple's Continuity feature.

Google is also expected to add more cross-device features in the future, such as instant media sharing and Quick Share across devices.
