Petra Sihombing Sows Hope Through Music To Save Nature

JAKARTA - Petra Sihombing recently released a single titled 'Hope' which is a collaboration with an institution that cares about the world climate called IKLIM (The Indonesian Climate, Communications, Arts, and Music Lab).

"Meeting people who actually care about climate is one of the most memorable and inspiring things for me," Petra said in a written broadcast received by VOI, December 27. "I'm very happy to be able to meet them and listen to their stories directly," he continued.

Through this work, Petra describes the current situation in the world. In the midst of an increasingly deteriorating climate and the slumping condition of the earth, Petra wants to tell that there is still hope and there are still steps we can take to improve this situation.

"Although this song discusses there is still hope and there are still people who care about the climate on our earth, I also made this song in general so that it can enter any situation," Petra explained.

This project is the first time Petra has made a song about a specific topic that has been determined from the start. He admitted that he was given the task of conveying important messages about the earth's climate, and was impressed by this experience.

"I feel right if I talk about this, if I wish I was a Petra Sihombing audience, I would believe that Petra will talk about this. So in a short way, I still believe what I'm trying to talk about in this song, and I can still bring this message to a lot of people, "said Petra.

Hope is indeed only a small fragment among a major event that is hitting our earth. However, with this step, Petra hopes that it will not only stop there, but through this song, the steps that Petradan IKLIM is taking will become a big movement that can continue to echo about it.

Meanwhile, outside the project with IKLIM, Petra is actually also preparing other new works that are ready to be released in the near future. He also advised fans to remain loyal to wait because the latest work of Petra Sihombing will be released in the near future.

"Hopefully it will be a teaser for my new album because there are several tracks that indirectly have a common thread with it. Hopefully you can enjoy my next work. Because I will release the album next year," he concluded.
