JAKARTA - Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Laufey has officially signed a global partnership contract with the United Talent Agency (UTA).

"On the other hand, there are many songs in my discography and on the album 'Bewitched' that resemble jazz standards and are very suitable for that environment," he continued. "So, it's very difficult to put me in any category. If put in the pop category, I also don't feel completely fit. That's the only reason I don't claim it."
However, Laufey emphasized that his main foundation remains firmly rooted in classical and jazz music.
"I grew up listening to classical and jazz music, and it's from jazz music that all my vocal inspiration comes from. I'm a trained jazz singer; that's what I learned. So, mastering the charts is an honor," said Laufey.
"I never imagined it, especially with a young audience who usually don't listen to jazz. In my opinion, that's what makes it so cool," he concluded.
