IPPAWARDS 2024: Best IPhone Photography This Year

JAKARTA iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAWARDS), an annual competition with iPhone cameras, has announced several winners from various countries. All the winning shots have also been shared. Just like previous years, the organizers selected one winner to get the grand prize. For the 17th IPPAWARDS held this year, the main winner was Erin Brooks of the US with the title by Boy Meets Shark. This photo was taken using the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Erin features a boy who is attaching his hand to the aquarium glass as the small shark approaches. Erin's image takes looks stunning because of his focus on meeting children and sharks. In addition, Erin added a black and white effect so that his photo became more detailed and prominent. The boy's emotions in the photo were also conveyed well. With a pretty good portrait taking, it's no wonder that Erin was selected as the winner. Apart from handing over the main prize, IPPAWARDS also selected the winner for several categories such as Best Photographer, Portrait Abstract, Animal, Lifestyle, Architecture, Children, Capacity Display, View, Nature, Humans, and much more.

All winners use a diverse iPhone model and are not limited to the latest iPhone. They can use the iPhone 7 series to the iPhone 15 series. For next year's IPPAWARDS event, the allowed iPhone model will increase as the iPhone 16 series will be launched. IPPAWARDS is an annual photography competition that has been held since the first iPhone was launched, which is in 2007. Through this competition, the organizers want to show that the iPhone camera has stunning portrait results and its users can convey the art or message from the photos they take.
