JAKARTA - Google has started testing a new AI-powered video editing app, named Vids. The app is available exclusively for Workspace Labs testers and is expected to launch for paid users later this year.

Vids uses Google's Gemini AI to quickly create a storyboard and script after you describe the theme and purpose of the video.

Google Vids Main Feature

The experience of using Google Vids reminds iMovie or Windows Movie Maker, with some additional features. This tool will work well for short videos that you may only use once at school or work. Thanks to Gemini's integration, making this video won't take long.

You can register for access to Workspace Labs and try Vids for free. Interested users can look forward to improving the app in the coming weeks before rolling out to Google Workspace paid users.

With Google Vids, Google added a new productivity tool to their Workspace suite, the first in years. This tool is designed to help users create internal video content quickly and efficiently, making it an ideal choice for internal presentation and communication purposes
