Snapchat Launches AI-Based Message Editing Feature

JAKARTA Snapchat, an alternative to social media other than Instagram, introduced several new features on Wednesday, May 1. One of the features they announced is the ability to edit messages in the chat room. Through the company's release, it is explained that the message editing feature only works for the first five minutes after the message was sent. That is, Snapchat puts constraints on its features and users can't edit messages whenever they want. "If you typ or something is wrong, edit your messages up to five minutes after sending, before your friends reply! This feature will be present soon and will be available for the first Snapchat Plus subscriber," Snapchat said. In addition to the feature for editing messages, Snapchat also launched a Artificial Intelligence-based powerful feature (AI). This feature will help Snapchat users to remember the important agenda or activity they want to do. To use this feature, users must open up my AI chat room. After that, give an order to remember whatever they want. When the specified time arrives, users will get a reminder message from my AI.

"Ask for a reminder to my AI in a direct chat or in a conversation with another friend! With just a short message, I will prepare you with a Countdown in the app so you won't miss any moments," Snapchat explained. Apart from the two features above, there are still several other features that Snapchat is launching. They also add reaction features in Maps, making special bitmojis with the help of AI, 90s AI Lens, and more diverse emojis to respond to chats.
