JAKARTA TikTok, a vertical video platform, launched the Add to Music App feature in November last year. This feature is integrated into music streaming services such as Apple Music and Spotify.

When it was first launched, this feature was only available in the United States (US) and the UK. All users who see this feature can add the music they like from TikTok to the music streaming app they usually use.

A month later, this feature was expanded to 19 countries, including Canada, Japan, Germany, Italy, France, Thailand, Turkey, and much more. Now, TikTok is again expanding its Add feature to the Music App to 163 new countries.

From the release of updates shared by TikTok, this feature is already available in Austria, Bangladesh, Brunei, Greece, Iceland, Morocco, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Poland, Pakistan, Palestine, Switzerland, Taiwan, Timor-Leste, Ukraine, Uruguay, and much more.

Although this feature is already available in neighboring countries, namely Malaysia, Indonesia has not yet received this feature. Singapore has not yet received this feature. This feature may be expanded again in the coming months.

Some time ago, TikTok said that the Add to Music App feature was designed to, "help music fans capture the songs they love on TikTok when the song is found."

The Add To Music App feature not only makes it easier for TikTok users, but also musicians who use the platform for promotion. This feature can provide greater royalties to artists or music labels.
