JAKARTA - OpenAI is starting to launch the GPT Store or store for GPT, a special chatbot application supported by text and image generating AI models (for example GPT-4 and DALL-E 3).

"It's been two months since we announced GPT, and users have created more than 3 million custom versions of ChatGPT," wrote OpenAI in its official announcement quoted Thursday, January 11.

However, this GPT store can only be accessed by users who have subscribed to one of OpenAI's premium ChatGPT packages, including ChatGPT Plus, ChatGPT Enterprise, or the newly launched GPT Team.

The GPT Store is actually an app store in website form, featuring a range of GPTs developed by OpenAI partners and its wider developer community.

Users can browse some of the available GPTs that are free to use at launch including trail recommenders from AllTrails, code tutors from Khan Academy, and content designers from Canva.

GPT Store was first announced last year at OpenAI's first annual developer conference,  DevDay. However, these plans were delayed in December, due to a leadership reshuffle that occurred in November.

At that time, CEO Sam Altman was forced out by OpenAI's board of directors and then, after investors and employees panicked, Sam Altman was reinstated with a new board of directors.
