JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) noted that Yogyakarta Karawang Station has served 5,500 passengers since officially operating for 10 days.
The total number of passengers who boarded and descended at Karawang Station is for the period 24 December 2024 to 2 January 2025.
KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa said that the presence of Karawang Station provides positive benefits to community mobility and economic activity in the area.
"In the first 10 days of operation, the average number of passengers up and down at Karawang Station was recorded at 400 to 500 passengers per day," he said in an official statement, Friday, January 3.
"The peak occurred on December 29, 2024, where on that day Karawang Station served 777 passengers per day," he continued.
