JAKARTA - Issuance of Paradox Interactive and developer of the Colossal Order announced it would delay the launch of Cities: Skyines II to Spring 2024.
Based on the announcement shared on its official blog, Paradox revealed the reason for this delay was because developers needed more time to achieve their game quality targets.
"We are working hard to prepare this game for release on October 24. While doing this, we realized that we needed more time to achieve the quality targets we have set for Console," the company said.
This delay appears to only apply to the launch of Cities: Skyines II on consoles. As for PC players, the release schedule has not changed.
"Because we want to provide the best experience for our players, we are updating the release window for Xbox and PS5 until Spring 2024," added Paradox.
This additional time will allow the development team to focus on quality matching and performance on all platforms. Studio promised to immediately share more updates in the console's release window.
