JAKARTA - Recently, Kaspersky researchers discovered a new type of malware called EarlyRat. The Malware is also included in Anderie's utility, a further persistent threat (APT) that has been operating for more than a decade in the Lazarus group.
"It is common for groups to adopt codes from others, and even affiliates that can be considered as independent entities, changing different types of malware. Adding to the complexity, the subgroup of APT groups, such as Lazarus 'Andariel, engages in cybercrime activities such as spreading ransomware," said Jornt van der Wiel, senior security researcher, GREAT in Kaspersky.
