JAKARTA - As is known, the trial of Instagram's full screen feed display does not seem to run smoothly. But that doesn't stop Meta from focusing on its full-screen content.
In his weekly QnA on stories, the head of Instagram said that they would allow users to post photos in a 9:16 ratio to the feed.
"You can have tall videos, but you can't have tall photos on Instagram," the executive said. "So we thought maybe we should make sure we treat both of them equally."
It's been a busy week at Instagram. I'm doing an AMA shortly – https://t.co/aM4JODvskg – like I do every Friday. Ask a question there and I'll do my best to answer it.

Maybe, Instagram already has the ability to post photos with a 9:16 ratio, but you can only do that in Stories, not in feeds.
Mosseri continued, this is part of a test that the company is planning and is likely to take in the next week or two.
According to The Verge's notes, a full-screen design like TikTok has previously been done by Instagram, but it has received criticism from several photographers.

Some photographers complain that the full-screen design of Instagram feeds makes photo captions enter the posted photo section, thus clashing with their work.
Mosseri also realized that the full-screen trial wasn't ideal. However, the company does not want to scrap this plan but in a different way.
