Haaland Not Happy In Man City? This Is Pep Guardiola's Answer

JAKARTA - Striker Erling Haaland is said to be unhappy at Manchester City. This confirms rumors he wants to move to Real Madrid. But manager Pep Guardiola gave an answer about Haaland.

Haaland is said to be leaving Man City. Media in Spain said that the Norwegian national team striker was not happy in Man City. He also hopes to leave to join Real Madrid.

His father, Alf-Inge Haaland, has several times stated that his son may have remained in Man City for several years.

Furthermore, he will face challenges in other leagues, especially in La Liga Spain by strengthening Madrid.

Haaland himself began sticking out when he joined Borussia Dortmund in 2020. He played for two seasons in Germany's Bundesliga before moving to Man City in 2022.

In the English Premier League, Haaland immediately skyrocketed. In his first season, the former RB Salzburg striker brought Man City to a treble victory. He also scored 52 goals in various competitions.

This season, Haaland remains the mainstay of The Cityzens. He has also scored 14 goals even though he was later absent for two months due to a leg injury.

It's just that news circulated that Haaland started to feel uncomfortable at the Etihad. He felt unhappy. Even Haaland plans to leave if Guardiola no longer handles Man City.

But Guardiola denied all the accusations. According to the former Barcelona coach, Haaland is happy at Man City.

"The news is from the Spanish media. So please [media] ask them, especially the media in Madrid. They may have more valid information than us. If we ourselves have no information about that," said Guardiola.

"He didn't play for two months with injury. But the media in Spain, especially in Madrid, have more information than us. He can adapt quickly and he's been fine since arriving here," he said again.

Guardiola said that his party could not control the media. If Haaland was already unhappy, he would have made the decision to move.

"We clearly can't control what other people say. If he's not happy, he will make a decision," he said.

Haaland himself and Man City have ambitions to repeat their success in winning trebles this season.

If that target is achieved, Man City makes history as the only club that can win treble twice in a row.

Currently, Man City still remains in the Champions League and FA Cup. They are also ranked second in the Premier League standings. Man City competed fiercely with Liverpool who took control of the standings.
