PSSI Chairman Announces Chairman Of The 2023/2027 Period Committee, No Name Zainudin Amali

JAKARTA - PSSI General Chairperson (Ketum), Erick Thohir, announced the composition of the PSSI Committee Chair for the 2023-2027 period on Thursday, July 20, WIB. Interestingly, there is no name of PSSI Deputy General Chair (Waketum), Zainudin Amali, on the list.

Erick Thohir said Zainudin Amali was deliberately excluded because the number of committees determined was based on a limited FIFA decision. However, Zainudin Amali still has a big task.

"Indeed, in the composition of the committee chairman there is a name that is not, namely the waketum (Zainudin Amali)," said Erick Thohir during a press conference in the Central Jakarta area.

"Because he realized that there were only 14, so I asked him to supervise the entire committee," he continued about Zainudin Amali's duties.

Erick Thohir said the composition of the committee chairperson announced today was in accordance with FIFA regulations. However, he also added three ad hoc committees he deliberately appointed at the beginning of his term.

"The composition of the PSSI 2023-2027 committee is in accordance with FIFA regulations because it must be filled with 14 Permanent Committees. But at the beginning I was elected (as Chairman of PSSI) I also added 3 ad hoc committees," he explained.

The three ad hoc committees added by Erick Thohir include national team bodies (BTN), infrastructure and supporters.

On the same occasion, Zainudin Amali responded casually to his name which was not included in the committee chair list. Because according to him there are many other tasks he can do without having to reduce his responsibilities in the federation.

Moreover, he also got strong reasons about his position.

"We (PSSI leaders) have 15, from the general chairman to the exco. While the permanent committee only has 14, so there must be one who does not get it (the position of the Permanent Committee)," said Zainudin Amali.

"I have asked the general chairman for permission because of various assignments from the general chairman. So I said, if it was allowed by the chairman, I would not have a position on the permanent committee. For me, I think there is or there is no my name on the permanent committee, I as the PSSI waketum remain in charge of supervising this permanent committee," he explained.
