Inter's Determination To Overthrow Manchester City In Istanbul After Coppa Italia Champion

JAKARTA - Inter Milan successfully defended the Coppa Italia title after defeating Fiorentina in the final on Thursday, May 25 in the morning WIB. Inter won with a narrow score 2-1.

This victory made the Nerazzurri win the Coppa Italia title in a row as well as the ninth.

However, that result did not make Inter Milan coach, Simone Inzaghi, satisfied. Instead, he has the ambition to win the Champions League title by defeatingManchester City in the Champions League final.

The final match will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, on June 11. Inzaghi will lower his full strength in order to overthrow City.

For him it will be a way to close the season perfectly. "We want to play everything as well as possible," said Inzaghi after the Coppa Italia final.

"First, we have two (domestic) league games left and then a final in Istanbul to end the season well so we have to kill him (Man City)," he continued as quoted by Football Italia on Thursday, May 25.

Although not satisfied with the Coppa Italia champion, Inzaghi said he was happy with his team's victory in the Coppa Italia final. He called the victory fuel for his team to perform even stronger.

Especially during the match against Fiorentina, the Nerazzurri players admitted that Inzaghi had a difficult match with various problems that arose.

"We faced strong opponents tonight, which got us into a lot of trouble. We didn't make a good approach early in the game, but the players performed well to stay in the game despite conceding early in the game," he explained.

"Then, we scored two goals and Fiorentina put pressure on us after the break, but we were able to defend and we were happy," concluded Inzaghi.
