Denza Z Coupe and Racing Electric Supercar Officially Introduced, Performance is Fierce

JAKARTA - Denza officially introduced its latest electric supercar, the Denza Z Coupe and Racing variants. This model comes to represent a combination of performance, design, and technology in the most progressive form.

This model was introduced directly by BYD Executive Vice President Stella Li together with former Formula One World Champion, Jenson Button. On that occasion, Denza confirmed the presence of three main variants, namely Coupe, Spider, and Racing, as well as introducing the Z Special Edition which was prepared to undergo a record-breaking effort at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

"Denza Z was born to deliver performance and is designed to win. Through an impressive combination of power, acceleration, and dynamic ability, this model sets a new standard in the world of high-performance vehicles," said Executive Vice President of BYD, Stella Li, in an official statement received, Wednesday, July 15.

A Blend of Elegance and Performance in a Design Masterpiece

Denza Z is the latest interpretation of DENZA's philosophy of "Technology Drives Elegance", which combines aesthetics and technology in a harmonious unity. Every curve on its body is designed not only to create an attractive appearance, but also to support the aerodynamic performance required by a modern supercar.

Designed by a team led by BYD Global Design Director Wolfgang Egger, the Denza Z is described as "A Living Sculpture of Speed". Balanced proportions, a low silhouette, and the play of light and shadow on every surface present a dynamic and classy character. The front and rear fenders reflect the performance, while the sleek body lines emphasize the driver's position as the center of the driving experience.

The design approach is equipped with various functional elements that contribute directly to performance. The aerodynamically optimized body shape, S-shaped air flow path on the front, and various precision-designed details allow for a balance between drag, downforce, and thermal management. The result is a look that is not only visually beautiful, but also plays an important role in supporting the vehicle's dynamic capabilities.

The premium character of the Denza Z continues into the cabin. The interior layout is designed with a driver-centric orientation, placing control and driving experience as the main focus. The steering wheel inspired by the world of motorsport is equipped with quick access to various performance functions, including Track Mode and Boost Mode.

Despite carrying a supercar character, the Denza Z still offers unique flexibility in its class. The four-seat configuration provides more comfort for everyday use, while the expandable trunk capacity presents a level of practicality that is rarely found in vehicles with this performance.

Behind the dynamic character it has, the Denza Z is built on the e3 Sports Car Platform which was developed exclusively for the brand. This platform is the foundation for various innovations that define the vehicle's capabilities, ranging from the configuration of three electric motors, Cell-to-Body (CTB) battery integration, DiSus-M intelligent damping system, to the latest generation FLASH Charging technology. Through the configuration of three electric motors that produce up to 1,604 PS of power and 1,240 Nm of torque, the Denza Z delivers impressive acceleration and precise control.
