Crazy! Abramovich Spent IDR 748 Million On Favorite Sushi From England, Delivered To Azerbaijan By Private Jet

JAKARTA - Chelsea's sanctioned owner, Roman Abramovich, has reportedly spent £40.000 to get his favorite food to fly 2.500 miles on a private jet from London to Azerbaijan.

Abramovich, who currently has a fortune of around £6.4 billion (IDR 119.7 billion), is known to be royal. Especially for his beloved Chelsea.

But it's not just the Blues, the Russian tycoon has paid insane sums to have sushi delivered to him from London while he's thousands of miles away in Baku.

The extraordinary story dates back to the early 2000s when the man who is said to have close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin developed a keen appetite for cuisine from the now-closed Ubon restaurant on Canary Wharf.

According to the Sunday Times on Tuesday, Abramovich made an order estimated at around £1.200 before the dish was flown to him on a private jet.

Once the sushi is prepared, it's then taken in a chauffeur-driven limo to Luton airport and loaded onto a jet before traveling 2.500 miles across Europe.

The purchase and delivery of the food is thought to have cost around £40.000. Not only that, but Abramovich also had to wait more than the standard 20-minute delivery time because the flight from London to Baku took five and a half hours.
