Volvo Confirms To Launch Ten Models Until 2026, Consisting Of EVs And PHEVs

JAKARTA - Swedish auto brand Volvo has announced it will delay its complete electrification plan and provide back vehicles that adjust the market. However, the brand has confirmed it will launch several new models in the future.

This was announced by the manufacturer at a meeting with dealers recently. Volvo Cars CEO Jim Rowan and Chief Commercial Officer Bjorn Annwall doubled the company's aggressive strategy by launching ten new all-new cars and refreshments over the next two years.

Launching from Carscoops, Saturday, September 21, the first new vehicle is an EX90 assembled from the United States (US). Then, this will be followed by EX60 which is the successor to XC60.

EX60 will be released in 2026 and will be built on the latest SPA3 platform. In addition, Volvo revealed that the model will carry the latest electric motor with high efficiency of up to 93 percent.

In addition, the manufacturer based in Gothenburg, Sweden will also launch EX40 in a smaller size or previously known as the XC40 Recharge.

Then, Volvo will also introduce the latest station wagon with an electric drive called EV60 Cross Country which is being prepared for the production phase. Then, the brand will launch the ES90 for the first time.

In addition to battery-based electric vehicles (BEVs), Volvos do not ignore the hybrid vehicle segment. This car manufacturer is also preparing a lineup of plug-in hybrid (PHEVs) cars with a wider range of electricity than before.

The latest PHEV will maintain the current platform, namely SPA1. However, Volvo will develop it with a significant increase in reach. According to the brand, the next model will exceed the XC90 offered with pure electric range of up to 33 miles or just 53 km.

Not only that, the latest PHEV cars will also have high efficiency capabilities as well as future electric vehicles Volvo, thus promising overall performance and practicality improvement.

According to Volvo, its future vehicles will adjust to the wishes of current and future premium car buyers.
