Carens Expands Indonesian Family Mobility Options with EV Version
At GIIAS 2026, Kia also introduced the Carens EV as an illustration of the direction of the development of EV-based family mobility in Indonesia. Carrying the DNA of Carens which has been known through comfort, practicality, and flexibility, the Carens EV shows how the character of a family MPV can continue to evolve as it transforms into an electric vehicle era.
Carens EV is prepared to enter the local production phase starting November 2026, strengthening Kia's move to bring electrification vehicles that are increasingly relevant for Indonesian families.
The presence of the all-new Carens together with Carens EV shows Kia's commitment to continue developing an MPV line that can meet the family mobility needs, both through internal combustion engine vehicles and electrification. The Carens DNA is still maintained, while innovation and technology continue to evolve in line with the needs of Indonesian consumers.
