JAKARTA - The chairman of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Ahmad Doli Kurnia, revealed that the factions had already determined their stance on the two proposed voting schedules for the 2024 Simultaneous Election.
As is known, the schedule for the 2024 Simultaneous Elections has yet to be decided due to two proposals. Namely, the government proposed that the voting be held on May 15, while the Indonesian KPU planned for February 21.
"Golkar, Nasdem, Gerindra, PAN Parties clearly support the implementation of the (Election) on May 15 and still (Regional Head Elections) on November 27," said Doli, Friday, October 8.
Meanwhile, the PDIP, PKS, and PPP Parties, said Doli, were more in agreement with the General Election Commission's proposal that the general election will be held on February 21, 2024.
"Meanwhile, the Democrats and the PKB Parties fully counting on the readiness of the General Election Commission (KPU) and the government," said the Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party.
