PSI Party Immediately Sends Letter Of Dismissal Of Viani Limardi To The Chairperson Of The DKI DPRD

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Central Executive Board (DPP) Isyana Bagoes Oka said that her party would immediately send a letter to dismiss Viani Limardi as a member of the DKI Regional Representative Council (DPRD) for the PSI Party Fraction to the Chair of the DKI DPRD.

"We have taken the decision to dismiss Viani from party membership. In accordance with applicable procedures, PSI will immediately send a letter to the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD regarding this matter," said Isyana in a statement, Wednesday, September 29.

Viani's dismissal letter has been issued since Saturday, September 25, 2021. However, Isyana wonders why the news of Viani's dismissal can be spread to the public.

"We don't know how the dismissal letter was spread, because this whole process is completely internal," Isyana said in a statement, Wednesday, September 29.

Isyana explained that PSI had gone through a long process before finally firing Viani. The process begins with the evaluation of the DKI Jakarta PSI DPW, the Directorate of Faction Development and PSI Legislative Members, the Fact Finding Team (TPF), and finally the PSI DPP.

“TPF has also officially summoned Sis Viani Limardi. In the session, the person concerned was given ample opportunity to submit answers and rebuttals to TPF's questions," said Isyana.

From the evaluation results, Isyana stated that Viani was no longer in line with the party's vision and mission and was proven to have violated the party's Statutes and bylaws (AD/ART), namely being obedient and loyal to the struggle line, AD/ART and party decisions.

"Being a member of the DPRD is a responsibility, not a privilege that cannot be evaluated. So far, to all Aleg (legislative members), we have never asked for things like salary cuts and the money is deposited with the party. We only ask them to attend and work for people," said Isyana.

Therefore, Isyana emphasized that what Viani was doing at this time no longer had anything to do with PSI. Viani also can no longer be a member of the DPRD representing PSI.

"Based on the MD3 Law, regarding dismissal as a member of the DPRD, DKI Jakarta, there needs to be a decision from the Minister of Home Affairs. However, until the issuance of the decision, since the PSI DPP letter was issued on Saturday 25 September 2021, Viani is no longer part of the PSI extended family. Viani's actions after that are no longer related to PSI," she added.
