SEMARANG - The General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Central Java Police (Central Java) exposed the practice of same-sex male prostitution with the plus-plus massage service mode in the city of Solo.

Director of the General Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police Grand Commissioner Djuhandani said a pimp with the initials D (47) from Karanganyar and six therapists were arrested from the practice of prostitution.

"The perpetrator used a boarding house in the Banjarsari area of Solo City to carry out this same-sex prostitution practice," he said in Semarang, Antara, Monday, September 27.

According to him, the perpetrators received customers at the boarding house with a total of 19 rooms. From the prostitution practice that has been running since five years ago, he said, the perpetrators took advantage of the tariffs imposed.

The rates charged for the services provided vary between Rp250 thousand to Rp400 thousand. The share received by the suspect is between Rp100,000 to Rp160,000 per therapist.

Djuhandani added that the suspect also offered prostitution under the guise of a "plus-plus" massage through social media.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Crime of Trafficking in Persons and Article 296 of the Criminal Code concerning Prostitution.
