Mayor Bima Arya Asks Bogor City IDI To Beware Of New Variants Of COVID-19

BOGOR - Bogor Mayor, Bima Arya, asked the Bogor Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Board which had just been inaugurated for the 2021-2024 period to be aware of and anticipate the new variant of COVID-19.

"So, our task is not only in the curative aspect but also preventive and promotive", he said at the inauguration of the Bogor City IDI board chaired by Ilham Chaidir, quoted by Antara in a written statement, Monday, September 13.

Bima Arya expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all doctors in the city of Bogor who have worked hard to deal with COVID-19 during the pandemic that has been going on since March 2020.

Bima Arya also expressed his respect for all the innovations and creations given by the doctors in the city of Bogor, so that the conditions are much better.

"The bed occupancy rate of COVID-19 patients in hospitals, which had reached 87 percent, is now around 10 percent. Active cases of COVID-19 have also fallen considerably to around one percent", he said.

The current condition of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bima said, cannot be separated from the struggle of the doctors. "Thank you for the excellent coordination and collaboration so far", he said.

Bima Arya advised Ilham Chairir to continue taking anticipatory steps, namely anticipating the emergence of new variant viruses and anticipating the negligence of residents

Bima Arya also expressed his gratitude to the previous chairman of the Bogor Indonesian Doctors Association, which was chaired by Zainal Arifin, who had been fighting together and collaborating with the Bogor City Government for two periods.

Meanwhile, Ilham Chairir stated that he would strive to be istiqomah in fighting for a professional IDI.
