SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Government, East Java, is ready to send health workers (nakes) to help accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination to the agglomeration areas which include Sidoarjo, Gresik, Mojokerto, and Lamongan.

Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi said sending health workers to the agglomeration area was a directive from Pangdam V/Brawijaya, Kapolda, and the Governor of East Java.

"This is to achieve herd immunity in Greater Surabaya and also applies to agglomeration areas", he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 13.

To speed up vaccination, the Surabaya City Government has prepared 218.610 doses of two Sinovac vaccines for the implementation of the vaccine attack in 67 location points in 31 sub-districts from August 12-14, 2021.
