Surabaya City Government Sends Health Workers To Help Vaccination Program To Agglomeration Areas

SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Government, East Java, is ready to send health workers (nakes) to help accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination to the agglomeration areas which include Sidoarjo, Gresik, Mojokerto, and Lamongan.

Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi said sending health workers to the agglomeration area was a directive from Pangdam V/Brawijaya, Kapolda, and the Governor of East Java.

"This is to achieve herd immunity in Greater Surabaya and also applies to agglomeration areas", he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 13.

To speed up vaccination, the Surabaya City Government has prepared 218.610 doses of two Sinovac vaccines for the implementation of the vaccine attack in 67 location points in 31 sub-districts from August 12-14, 2021.

"God willing, it is reported that next Saturday will come again, we will do it again the next day", said Mayor Eri.

Head of the Surabaya City Health Office (Dinkes) Febria Rachmanita said the Sinovac dose II vaccination attack which was held in several locations, the participants were residents who had received the invitation.

"So those who didn't get the invitation, I ordered them not to be present at the location to prevent crowds", said Feny as Febria Rachmanita said.

Therefore, Feny advised residents who have not received the invitation not to worry. This is because the vaccination campaign will continue to be carried out in stages in the city of Surabaya, both in the first and second doses.
