COVID-19 Cases In Bogor Soar From 500 Cases To 928 People, Regent Ade Yasin Gives An Explanation

BOGOR - The Regent of Bogor, West Java, Ade Yasin, explained the increase in daily cases of COVID-19 transmission in the area in the last two days, which jumped to 928 people.

"The number of COVID-19 transmissions in Bogor Regency has surged since Tuesday, July 13, 2021, namely 928 cases, from previously only around 200-500 cases per day", he said in Cibinong, Thursday, July 15.

Regarding the spike in cases, Regent Ade Yasin explained that this was because the geoportal application was fully integrated with the national "all record" application.

The head of the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force said that the integration of the two applications will automatically enter a positive case report of a patient with the Bogor Regency address at a hospital from outside Bogor.

However, he said, that way now there is no longer a case verification facility with patients who purely live in Bogor Regency.

"So we can't separate those who actually live in Bogor Regency, which only has Bogor Regency ID cards but don't live here", he said.

Now the total number of COVID-19 cases in Bogor Regency has reached 26,455 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, with details of 5,187 cases still active, 260 cases dying, and 21,002 cases recovering from COVID-19.
