Sad News From Lampung, A Total Of 1,091 People Died Due To COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Lampung Provincial Health Office (Dinkes) stated that there had been an addition of 128 people who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 so that the total number now rose to 19,592 positive cases.

"There are 128 additional daily confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 19,592 from the previous 19,464," said Head of the Lampung Provincial Health Office, Dr. Reihana in a written statement in Bandarlampung, Monday night.

She explained that the addition of 128 people included 92 new cases, 36 search results, 35 people in treatment, and 93 others undergoing self-isolation.

"The positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 came from 12 districts and cities in Lampung Province," she said.

She said the additions were in North Lampung Regency there were 31 people who were confirmed positive for COVID-19, 19 people in South Lampung, 17 in East Lampung, 14 in Bandarlampung City, and 11 in Metro City.

"Then in Pesawaran Regency there were 8 people who were confirmed positive for COVID-19, 7 people in West Lampung, 7 people in Central Lampung, 6 people in Tanggamus, 5 people on the West Coast, 2 people in Pringsewu, and in Tulang Bawang Barat there was 1 person," she said.

According to her, besides the addition of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19, there was also an addition to the death case of 1 person from Pesawaran Regency, with the addition of one person who died, there were a total of 1,091 deaths.

"There is also an addition to 17 suspected cases for a total of 204 cases, then close contacts are 150 cases, travelers are 318 cases," she said.

She explained that the effective reproduction rate was 0.21, while the mortality rate was 5.57 percent, and the cure rate was 88.61 percent.

"With the increasing number of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19, the implementation of health protocols must be carried out continuously," said Reihana.
