JAKARTA - Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) of Bank DKI has facilitated the financing of an IDR 0 Down Payment home loan of IDR 198.8 billion per April 2021.

"This credit distribution was handed over to 730 recipients who had contracts in a number of residences registered by the Prosperous Home Ownership Facilitation Unit (UFPRS)", said Bank DKI Corporate Secretary Herry Djufraini in a statement, Monday, May 31.

The residences that have been facilitated by credit are Samesta Sentraland Cengkareng, West Jakarta; Menara Samawa Nuansa Pondok Kelapa, East Jakarta; and Rusunami Bandar Kemayoran, North Jakarta.

Herry said that his party was still processing credit applications made by prospective beneficiaries of the IDR 0 Down Payment residential program. "Of course the screening process will be carried out in accordance with the precautionary principle", said Herry.

Furthermore, Herry said that Bank DKI had processed more than 1.500 applications as of April 2021. As the implementing bank for the IDR 0 Down Payment Program, Bank DKI was tasked with verifying DKI Jakarta residents who were deemed to have met the program-specific banking credit criteria as potential beneficiaries.

He gave an example, "The implementation of the IDR 0 Down Payment residential project for the Sentraland Cengkareng Apartment developed by Perumnas is part of the responsibility of Bank DKI in supporting the development of the city of Jakarta in improving services to the people of DKI Jakarta".

As is known, the IDR 0 Down Payment house is a program initiated by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan in the form of providing housing financing facilities for low-income people to have ready-to-live housing units in DKI Jakarta.

The criteria for prospective beneficiaries of the program, known as the Samawa house, must meet the requirements, such as residents of DKI Jakarta as evidenced by an e-KTP, do not have their own home, are not currently receiving housing assistance/subsidies from the Central/Regional Government, do not have non-performing loans at a third party/bank or non-financial institution and has a tax ID number (NPWP).

Anies Baswedan changed one of the conditions for homeownership with a down payment of IDR 0. Initially, the income requirement for one family who can occupy a housing unit without a down payment (DP) is IDR 7 million per month.

However, in the proposed amendment to the regional medium-term development plan (RPJMD) DKI Anies increased the nominal income of those who may apply for a down payment of IDR 0 to around IDR 14 million per month.
