JAKARTA - The Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) and the Thousand Islands handled an oil spill that was scattered on Jalan Enggano, Kelurahan/Kecamatan Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Monday, which had disrupted traffic flow in the area.

"We received reports from the public regarding the oil spill with the point of knowing the Transjakarta Enggano Bus Stop and immediately dispatched a team," said Head of North Jakarta Gulkarmat Ops and Thousand Islands Gatot Sulaeman in Jakarta, Monday.

He said information about the oil spill entering at 10.58 WIB and his party sent five personnel and one fire engine.

"They went straight to the location and carried out handling so that the traffic flow returned to normal," he said.

Officers began handling at 11.10 WIB by pouring oil spills scattered on 240 square meters of roads.

He said the spraying of oil spills on the road had been successfully carried out and traffic returned to normal for vehicles to pass.

"Alhamdulillah, the oil management was successfully carried out until 11.58 WIB," he said.
