Three Police in NTB Arrested for Drug Cases

MATARAM - - The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police has uncovered three police officers involved in the alleged case of drug abuse and distribution.

Director of Narcotics Investigation of the NTB Police, Kombes Roman Smaradhana Elhaj, explained that the involvement of the three members was revealed from the results of the Antik Rinjani 2026 Operation which took place from July 27 to August 9, 2026.

"The first case, an individual police member with the initials IDMA from the Narcotics Division of the NTB Police," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 11.

IDMA was arrested along with the West Lombok Police with the initials IKM in a raid by the NTB Police team in the Sayang-sayang area, Mataram City on August 2, 2026.

"Both were caught with positive drug test results. So, before they were caught, they were revealed to be using methamphetamine," he said.

So from the series of investigations, the NTB Police named the two members as drug abusers.

"For these two personnel, it is proven to be users. The results of the examination, it is indeed proven to be misused," he said.

Another, continued the NTB Police Narcotics Director, a police officer with the initials A who was arrested in the Langgudu area, Bima Regency, on August 2, 2026.

Roman explained that the arrest of A was the result of the development of a case of a fisherman with the initials S who was caught by the Bima City Police with evidence of 17 clips of methamphetamine weighing 1.44 grams.

"After conducting an examination, it turned out that the goods (sabu-sabu) from the Bima City Police member with the initials A. We have investigated and the origin of the goods, it has not been caught yet," he said.

Regarding the arrest of A, who is a member of the Bima City Police, Roman ensured that from the results of the investigation, the person concerned was not part of the network of the former Bima City Police Chief Didik Putra Kuncoro.

"So, until this examination, there is no connection with Mr. Didik Cs. Another path," he said.
