James Bond Car Designer Prepares Eco-Friendly Car For Pope Francis

JAKARTA - If there is no cross-section, Pope Francis will have a service car or an electric Pop Car supplied by Fisker Inc for the first time.

In its announcement Friday, May 21, the Los Angeles-based company will supply full-electric vehicles with features including solar roofs to carpets made from recycled plastic bottles.

Later, Fisker will provide an electric vehicle that Pope Francis can use for a variety of purposes, complete with glass domes, usually bulletproof, that can be opened up to its interior made of sustainable and recycled materials.

It was built from one of Fisker's alert electric vehicles, the Ocean, which is expected to be a pope's zero-emission service vehicle, capable of accelerating up to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and capable of traveling up to 350 miles.

The company said co-founders Henrik Fisker, formerly a designer for British luxury carmaker Aston Martin and Dr. Geeta Gupta-Fisker, met with Pope Francis in Vatican City.

"I take inspiration from reading, Pope Francis is very concerned about the environment and the impacts of climate change for future generations," Fisker said, speaking to Reuters Friday, May 21.

Interestingly, Henrik Fisker is the figure behind the cool vehicle used by the legendary spy film character, James Bond. Yes, Henrik Fisker was in the back of a retro BMW Z8 for Pierce Brosnan in the James Bond film: 'The World is Not Enough', reported Thisismoney.

Production of this type of SUV electric vehicle is planned to begin in November next year, through the contract of manufacturer Magna International Inc., in Europe.

The company did not disclose the cost of the modified vehicles intended for the Pope, but Fisker Ocean was marketed at $ 37,499 in Uncle Sam's Country and 32,000 euros in Germany.

Last year, Pope Francis received a hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai sedan specifically designed to ensure his mobility.
