JAKARTA - EH Happy Walewangko, the father of Kenzha Walewangko (22), a student at the Indonesian Christian University (UKI) who died on campus, sent an open letter to the Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI regarding the case of his son's death that had not been revealed.

"We ask you as Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI to be able to pay serious attention and encourage law enforcement officials to work professionally, transparently, and fairly in handling this case," said Happy in a statement received by VOI, Thursday, April 17, 2025.

According to Happy, it has been more than 40 days since the tragic incident, but until now it has not been clear who the perpetrator is responsible for.

"The evidence of abuse is clearly visible on the body of the deceased, but there has not been any determination of the suspect. In fact, we have not officially received the results of the autopsy as a family," he said.

Happy hopes that the case of his son's death will soon be revealed for the sake of upholding truth and justice.

"For the sake of the peace of our hearts as the family left behind. We are very concerned about the slow handling of this case by the police, especially the East Jakarta Police," he said.

As is known, the East Jakarta Metro Police is still investigating the death of a UKI student at the Faculty of FISIPOL, Kenzha Walewangko (22).

Investigators are still collecting evidence to determine whether this case is a criminal act or not.

"Investigators from the East Jakarta Metro Police are still at the investigation stage. We are still determining whether this is a criminal case or not. For that we are trying to collect evidence and analyze it," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly, Monday (10/3/2025).

The police chief also added that the results of the victim's autopsy could not be disclosed because the authority to provide information was in the hands of a team of forensic experts.

Meanwhile, the total number of witnesses who have been examined so far has reached 44 people. Even so, the police have not been able to reveal the exact cause of Kenzha's death.

"As part of a comprehensive investigation process, the total number of witnesses who have been examined so far has reached 44 people," said Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly when confirmed, Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

These steps, continued the Police Chief, were taken to ensure that every fact and evidence was presented objectively in order to reveal the truth.
