Reluctant To Leave The Entertainment World, Deputy Regent Ramzi Claims To Want To Promote Cianjur

JAKARTA - Deputy Regent (Wabup) of Cianjur elected Ramzi Geis Thebe said he would continue to work as an artist to promote Cianjur Regency, to be more widely known from within to outside the country, with an adjusted schedule.

"Initially I wanted to leave the entertainment world so that I could focus on accompanying the Regent of Cianjur, but I failed because I was able to introduce Cianjur to various government programs through television shows," said Ramzi in Cianjur, West Java, Friday, February 7, quoted by Antara.

Even before being declared official as the elected Regent and Deputy Regent of Cianjur with Dr Wahyu, he had introduced Cianjur Regency on a number of national televisions, including introducing the cultural pillars of Cianjur "Ngaos, Mamaos, Maenpo".

He assessed that the choice of continuing to work as an artist and as a deputy regent can be profitable in socializing programs and various other promotions about Cianjur Regency at large.

"So far, I have only introduced myself, but after being elected as deputy regent, I have the task of bringing the name Cianjur Regency to be better known," said Ramzi.

Intention to undergo these two professions, he received support from various groups, including the supporting community in Cianjur, but still prioritized his duties as deputy regent to accompany the Regent of Cianjur.

"The priority scale helps the regent's performance, so I just take a job as an artist at night," said Ramzi.

As reported by the KPU Cianjur Regency, holding an open plenary meeting to determine the pair of candidates for Regent and Deputy Regent Elected in Cianjur Regency in 2024, the couple Dr. Mohamad Wahyu Ferdian and Ramzi Geys Thebe, Thursday.

Chairman of the Cianjur KPU Mochamad Ridwan said the determination of the winner of the 2024 Cianjur Pilkada was carried out after his party received a decree from the Constitutional Court to the Indonesian KPU which was received on Thursday evening.

"The plenary stage for determining the winner of the Cianjur Pilkada was delayed because candidate pair number 1 filed a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court, after holding a trial and being declared rejected, we immediately held an open plenary meeting to determine the winner," he said.

He explained that the open plenary meeting for the determination of the winner was the last series of the 2024 Cianjur Pilkada stage, then the report on the results of the meeting would be submitted to the West Java KPU and the Indonesian KPU to be ratified and proposed the appointment of elected candidates.
