DPRD Asks For Security Of PAM Jaya's Vital Objects To Be Improved Equivalent To Pertamina's Assets

JAKARTA - Member of Commission C of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Lazarus Simon Ishak asked Perumda PAM Jaya to increase security around his vital object.

This security is needed to protect all assets owned by PAM Jaya from threats of security disturbances that can have an impact on public services and health.

"This is a vital object because drinking water is the basic need for residents," said Lazarus at IPA Buaran III PAM Jaya, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Monday, January 6.

If necessary, the Lazarus rate, the security of vital objects belonging to PAM Jaya is carried out equivalent to assets of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) such as Pertamina which are closely guarded.

Thus, there is no gap for other people to take advantage of who want to disturb the security of the community.

"Pertamina, if we enter his area, strictly ask for forgiveness. If something happens, it explodes, we estimate that the radius is as many as thousands of meters of people who are directly or indirectly affected," said Lazarus.

"Because from there there are people who can paralyze the people of Jakarta completely because of consumption, right. This is not just clean water, but drinking water. This is what is dangerous there," he added.

Responding to this, the President Director of Perumda PAM Jaya, Arief Nasrudin, said that his party would build a fence around the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) at IPA Buaran III when the construction was completed.

"When the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is completed, we will indeed make a border, we will make enough fence to protect us, we have vital objects," said Arief.

In addition, his party will also cooperate with the Regional Police to secure vital objects belonging to PAM Jaya so that they are conducive. Arief ensured that PAM Jaya would protect all of its vital objects so as not to interfere with the quality of the services provided to the community.

"Ini memang menunggu selesainya baru kemudian kita beutifikasi sehingga kita bisa kontrol juga secara lingkungan baik di Penjompongan maupun di Buaran," imbuhnya.
