Reject Reports Of Residents Attacked By Thugs Of Jatiwarna, 6 Police Examined By Bekasi City Police Propam

BEKASI City - The Professional and Security Division (Propam) of the Bekasi City Metro Police examined a number of members from the Pondok Gede Police who allegedly rejected reports from residents regarding stalking carried out by unknown individuals in Pondok Melati, Bekasi City, Sunday, December 29, 2024.

"We have done the interior for members who took care of the day, yes, if there are allegations of disciplinary violations, violations of SOPs committed by members, we will definitely take action," said Pondok Gede Police Chief Commissioner Bambang Sugiharto when confirmed, Friday, January 3, confiscated by Antara.

Bambang also said that the members had been carried out an internal inspection at Propam, Metro Police, Bekasi City.

"For personnel who were examined, approximately six people were carried out," he said.

Meanwhile, for the six members, Bambang explained from the Christmas and New Year Security Post Service Unit, then the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) picket, and traffic picket.

When confirmed if during the examination it was found that there was an alleged violation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Bambang said he would impose sanctions.

"Certainly yes, in accordance with PP number 2 of 2003 concerning disciplinary regulations for Polri members, there is clearly a regulation that if members of the National Police commit disciplinary violations, have been subject to sanctions, they can be subject to sanctions for violations of discipline, and must be legally responsible," he said.

Meanwhile, Bambang said that his party was investigating the case even though the victim had not yet made a report.

"We from the police have tried to contact those who uploaded the content on IG (Instagram). DM (direct message) then we got the cellphone number," said Bambang.

Currently, the Police have also appealed to the victim to immediately make an official report.

"Then we contacted the victim and tried to ask the victim to make an official report or we will pick up the ball where the victim lives, to make an official report. So that we can take further law enforcement steps," he explained.

Previously, a viral video circulated on Instagram social media uploaded by the @info_jabodetabek account, in the video, three perpetrators were seen attacking the windshield.

"My car was attacked by thugs in the Jatiwarna area, I tried to report to the police but I was thrown and even asked to make a report letter," quoted the account.

The written account explained the chronology that the three of them rode a motorbike in front of the victim's zigzag car, then overtook the victim's car, they continued to chase again in front of the victim's car, finally the victim's car was speeding and the perpetrator hit the windshield.
