North Sulawesi Police Detain 2 PCR Car Corruption Suspects

North Sulawesi (North Sulawesi) Regional Police have detained two suspects in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of 4 PCR lab cars at the Manado City Health Office for the 2020 fiscal year.

The Head of Public Relations of the North Sulawesi Police, Kombes Michael Irwan Thamsil, said that the handling of the alleged corruption case at the Manado City Health Office was at the stage of determining the suspect and the suspect had been detained.

"The suspects are two SWR as PPK each, and BP as Director of CV Pratama Nusantara as the provider," said Thamsil, who was accompanied by the North Sulawesi Police Dirreskrimsus Kombes Ganda Saragih, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 20.

As a result of the actions of the perpetrators, it caused state losses of approximately Rp3.8 billion.

The North Sulawesi Regional Police explained that the installation of 4 PCR lab cars occurred in the 2020 fiscal year during the COVID pandemic, at the Manado City Health Office which was budgeted at around Rp. 8.7 billion.

"After an investigation, it is suspected that there were irregularities in the procurement process with state financial losses of around Rp. 3.8 billion," he said.
