Close The Session Period, The House Of Representatives' Speaker Reminds Council's Commitment To Discuss Prolegnas Priorities 2021

JAKARTA - Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, Puan Maharani, will deliver the Closing speech of the Fourth Session period of the 2020-2021 Session at the Plenary Meeting at the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, Friday, April 9. In her speech later, Puan will affirm the commitment of the House of Representatives in the discussion of priority bills.

"The House of Representatives has a high commitment to immediately discuss the bill that has been prioritized this year," said Puan in Jakarta, Friday, April 9.

Puan revealed, on March 23, 2021, the House of Representatives has approved 33 Bills to enter the National Legislation Program (Prolegnas) Priority 2021. Of the 33 priority bills, among them are the Bill on the Elimination of Sexual Violence, the Bill on the Protection of Personal Data, the Bill on the Capital of the State, the Bill on Amendments to Law No. 24 of 2007 on Disaster Management, and the Bill on Outbreaks.

The agenda in today's plenary meeting is a level II talk/decision-making on the Bill on ratification of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement Between the Republic of Indonesia and The EFTA States.

Then, the report of Commission XI of the House of Representatives on the results of due diligence on the Public Accounting Firm (KAP) submitted by the CPC and the Minister of Finance, followed by decision making.

Continued the opinion of the factions against the proposed bill initiative of Commission III of the House of Representatives on Amendments to Law No. 16 of 2004 on The Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, followed by decision making into a bill proposed by the House of Representatives.

"After that, the opinion of the factions against the bill proposed initiative commission X DPR RI on amendments to Law No. 3 of 2005 on the National Sports System, followed by Decision Making into a bill proposed by the House of Representatives," said the PDIP politician.

The meeting closed with a report of BURT DPR RI on Work Plan and Budget (RKA) House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia year 2022. Continued with decision making, and the approval of the factions to the consideration of the merger and the establishment of ministries.
