JAKARTA - A total of 21 people including five children were injured when Russian forces bombed Ukraine's second-largest city, Kharkiv and its surrounding territories.

Thirteen people were injured in separate attacks on apartment buildings and storage rooms in Kharkiv and eight others in the city of Chuhuiv in the southeast, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said.

Regional prosecutors said Russia attacked Kharkiv with guided bombs and Chuhuiv from the multiple rocket launch system.

As reported by Reuters on Monday, October 28, two people were also killed in Kherson, southern Ukraine, on Sunday evening after Russian troops opened fire on the frontline city center, regional officials said.

Russia denies targeting civilians in a massive invasion launched in February 2022, but routinely attacks cities behind the front lines.
