Police Investigate Bentrok Supporter At LRT Station After Malaysia Vs Singapore Draw In The AFF Cup

JAKARTA - The police conducted an investigation into clashes between supporters at the South Bandar Tasik LRT Station after the draw for the Malaysian vs Singapore national team.

As a result of the match which was held at the Bukit Jalil Stadium, Malaysia's move to qualify for the 2024 AFF Cup Semifinals was stopped.

The Star reported that the clash on Saturday, December 21, indicated it was involved in a hostile group of supporters in a pre-event match.

However, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Malaysia Adam Adli has stated that he has not been able to confirm the incident related to Malaysia's match against Singapore on Friday night.

Meanwhile, the police investigation into the clashes of supporters was based on reports from the Malaysian Infrastructure Government-owned company Berhad which manages the country's LRT.

The clashes of supporters were also caught on CCTV and went viral on social media (social media). In the video, at least 15 men on the station platform fight each other with a group of men on the LRT train.

A man was also seen destroying the outside of the LRT train cabin with metal objects. Then a woman was heard shouting, "This is public transportation, man!"

However, the screams were left. Another man standing on the platform hit the train again with iron tools.
