JAKARTA - Yemen's Houthi group missiles hit a cargo ship in the Red Sea on Tuesday morning, September 1 local time.

Citing AP, the Houthi missile hit occurred in waters about 110 kilometers (70 miles) from the port city of Hodeida in the Red Sea.

The UK Maritime Trade Operation (UKMTO) issued a warning after a captain saw four "circles" near his ship.

All crew members were declared safe and on their way to the next stop port.

However, UKMTO reported that the second attack occurred in the northern region.

Private intelligence company Ambrey also reported two separate attacks. However, it is not clear whether the same ship was attacked again.

The Houthis have targeted more than 80 merchant ships with drones and missiles since Israel attacked Gaza in October 2023.

They had seized one and sunk two ships with the death toll of four sailors.
