Anies Wants To Establish A Political Party, Golkar: Don't Just Want To Get Power, But Don't Want To Manage The Party

JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the Golkar Party, Ace Hasan Syadzily said forming a new political party (parpol) is someone's right to contribute to the democratic system.

This was said by Ace in response to Anies Baswedan who admitted that there was pressure to form a new post-batal political party to advance in the 2024 Jakarta and West Java gubernatorial elections.

"In my opinion, it is the right of anyone to establish a political party," said Ace at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, September 2.

According to him, politics should be involved in the management of political parties. Don't let, said Ace, want to be the ruler but don't want to take care of political parties.

"If we do politics, it should go through political parties. Don't just want to get power, but we don't want to manage the party," he said.

Previously, Anies Baswedan revealed his two options in the future after not getting a ticket for candidacy in the 2024 Jakarta and West Java gubernatorial elections.

"There are those who suggest that I enter a party or create a political party," said Anies in the 'Noted Anies Post-Pilpres and Pilkada 2024'.

However, if he entered the political party, Anies alluded to the situation where many political parties he currently considers 'injured'.

"Well, if you enter the party, the question is, which party is not held hostage by power?" he said.

"Never mind entering, nominating is also a bit risky for those who propose it, so this is a reality," Anies continued.
