PDIP Officially Announces Andika Perkasa-Hendrar Prihadi Forward Central Java Gubernatorial Election

PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) officially announced the pair Andika Perkasa-Hendrar Prihadi competing in the Central Java (Central Java) gubernatorial election. The announcement was made by PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto at the PDIP DPP Office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, August 26.

"From Central Java Province, General Purnawirawan Andika Perkasa and Hendrar Prihadi," said Hasto when announcing the candidate for the head of the third wave of PDIP regional was greeted with cheers of invitations who were present at the location.

For information, Andika is a former TNI Commander while Hendrar Prihadi or Hendi is a former Mayor of Semarang who currently serves as Chairman of the LKPP.

In this event, Hendrar Prihardi was lined up to read the dedication of Soekarno's life when the event opened. Hasto had joked that Hendrar Prihadi could be a deputy governor candidate for reading it successfully in front of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and other party officials, including the chairman of the PDIP DPP who is also Megawati's son, Prananda Prabowo.

When his name was read out as a candidate in the Central Java gubernatorial election, Andika and Hendrar Prihadi immediately stood from their seats. They looked happy.

In addition, Hasto also officially announced other names. Among them are Airin Rachmi Diany-Ade Sumardi to fight in the Banten gubernatorial election.

Then there is also Epyardi Asda-Ekos Albar who will run in the West Sumatra gubernatorial election.

As previously reported, PDIP has announced that the candidates for regional heads will go through two waves. However, the party bearing the bull symbol has not announced a candidate pair in the Jakarta gubernatorial election even though the name Anies Baswedan is predicted to advance.
