Megawati Arrives At The PDIP DPP Office Ahead Of The Announcement Of Candidates For The Third Wave Regional Head

JAKARTA - PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri will announce regional head candidates for districts/cities and governors for the third wave today, Monday, August 26. The announcement was made at the PDIP DPP Office, Menteng, Central Jakarta. The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia has arrived at his party office since 11.30 WIB. Megawati was present with her son who is also the Chair of the PDIP DPP M. Prananda and the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP as well as Member of the Indonesian Parliament Eriko Sotarduga. Megawati was then greeted by PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and PDIP DPP Chair Ahmad Basarah. They then rushed to the 3rd floor of the PDIP DPP Office. A number of cadres who were predicted to be regional heads were also present. Among them were former TNI Commander General (Ret.) Andika Perkasa, who appeared to be wearing a bull logo shirt. Then, a number of cadres were also present, such as the former Mayor of Semarang who now serves as Head of LKPP Hendrar Prihadi. Just like Andika, he also appears to be wearing a red shirt commonly used by cadres. Meanwhile, Angga Putra Fidrian, who is Anies Baswedan's spokesman, said the former governor of Jakarta was scheduled to go to the PDI-P DPP Office on Monday afternoon. Even so, he was reluctant to explain in detail the purpose of Anies' presence. "Yes to the DPP, but the details can be asked to PDIP," said Angga when confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta, Monday morning. Previously reported, PDIP has announced the prospective regional head candidate through two waves. The party created by Megawati Soekarnoputri has also announced their champion to fight in the Banten Pilkada, namely Airin Rachmi Diany-Ade Sumardi.

Meanwhile, the candidate pairs for four other provinces on the island of Java, namely DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, and East Java, have not been announced.
