Harvey Moeis Continuation Session, Prosecutor Presents 4 Tin Employees And 1 Farmer As Witnesses

Follow-up hearing of the alleged management of tin/DOK commodity trading system Rizky AP-VOI

The Public Prosecutor (JPU) presented five witnesses in the follow-up trial of the alleged management of tin commodity trading in the mining business permit (IUP) area of PT Timah Tbk for the 2015 to 2022 period with the defendant Harvey Moeis. The witnesses who were presented by the majority were employees of PT Timah tbk. While the other one is a farmer. "His Majesty's permission, for today's trial we present five witnesses," said the prosecutor during a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Monday, August 26. The five witnesses presented included Ali Samsuri, BUMN Employee of PT Timah; Edi Suryadi, farmer; Tegus Awal Prasetyo, former Head of Accounting Section of PT Timah in the Babel area; Nono Budi Priyono, former head of planning and management of PT Timah in the Babel area; and Abdulah Umar Baswedan, employees of PT Timah Jakarta. In the Timah corruption case, Harvey Moeis was charged with being involved in the alleged corruption in tin governance which caused a loss of Rp. 300 trillion. In addition, Sandra Dewi's husband was also charged with money laundering (TPPU). Because, in the series of alleged corruption, Harvey Moeis received Rp420 billion.

Thus, in this case Harvey Moeis was charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Anti-Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code and Article 3 of 2010 concerning Money Laundering.
