JAKARTA - Ukraine launched a drone strike on Russia's Marinovka military airfield in the Volgograd region, southern Russia.
Ukraine reportedly attacked fuel storage areas and glide bombs, security sources in Kyiv said Thursday, August 22.
The Russian governor in the Volgograd region, Andrei Bocharov, previously said the fire broke out at a military facility in the region after Ukrainian drones hit him. He said there were no casualties.
The source said Ukraine's attack was part of Ukraine's drone strike campaign against Russian airfields used by warplanes to carry out routine attacks on targets in Ukraine.
