Fix PKB, PBNU Call Cak Imin Tomorrow Afternoon

JAKARTA - The PKB Special Committee (Pansus) formed by the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) sent a summons to the General Chairperson (Ketum) of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin on Wednesday, August 21.

"We sent an invitation to the General Chairperson of the PKB. We will see if he came or not," said PBNU General Chair Yahya Cholil Staquf in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, August 20, which was confiscated by Antara.

Cak Imin was asked to come to the 5th Floor meeting room of the PBNU building on Jalan Kramat Raya Number 164, Jakarta, tomorrow at 12.30 WIB.

At PBNU, Muhaimin was asked to appear before the Special Committee team led by Deputy Rais Aam Anwar Iskandar and Deputy General Chair Amin Said Husni.

The summons was made in connection with the PKB leadership which was considered to have deviated from the initial fatsun of this party was established.

In addition to the General Chairperson of the PKB, the Special Committee formed by PBNU has summoned PKB Secretary General Hasanuddin Wahid, former PKB Secretary General Lukman Edy, and historical actors of the establishment of PKB Effendy Choirie and the General Chairperson of Muslimat who is also a historical actor of the establishment of PKB Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

To the PBNU Special Committee team, the majority of invited figures explained that currently PKB had deviated from the basic values when the party was founded. This is in accordance with the findings of the Special Committee team.

These deviations include the castration of the Syuro Council's position in PKB. Castration occurred during the Muhaimin era leading the PKB. Whereas at the beginning of its establishment, the Shura Council, which is a representation of the elderly kiai, had full authority.

This authority, among others, the Shura Council can approve or cancel the candidate for chairman of the PKB and also sign important decrees. But at this time, the authority of the Shura Council was interpreted and almost only became a decoration at PKB.

Meanwhile, Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin admitted that they were ready to have a dialogue with the daughter of the 4th president of the Republic of Indonesia KH Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) Yenny Wahid and Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin to discuss the conflict between PBNU and PKB.

"We have a dialogue with anyone. Coffee at my house, coffee with anyone, ready," said Cak Imin.

He just wanted everything in a peaceful condition. Therefore he accepted all criticism and input. However, Cak Imin emphasized that PBNU and PKB are different organizations.

"PKB was indeed PBNU at that time, but it should be remembered that PBNU at that time after it was founded. Gus Dur himself said that there was no organizer," said Cak Imin.
