Handling Family Quarrel, 4 Police In Canada Shoot Dead 1 Teenager, 1 Injured

JAKARTA - A teenager was shot dead by four policemen who handled a family dispute at a house in Shoreview Drive, Toronto, Canada.

The Ontario Special Investigation Unit (SIU) or the Propam type said there was one injured victim who was 19 years old like the victim who died.

This incident started when South Simcoe Police received a phone call to come to a house in Shoreview Drive, about 75 kilometers north of Toronto, regarding a family dispute with violence.

When they arrived at the location, the police clashed with a family member who had an argument.

"Officers arrived and there was interaction involving the two men outside the home," said SIU press statement, quoted from CBC Toronto, Friday, August 16.

It didn't take long, four South Simcoe Police personnel who were at the location rewarded the family members with hot lead.

"Four officers opened fire at the two men," the statement continued.

In its development, the incident that claimed lives and injuries from the civilian side was investigated by SIU by deploying four investigators and two forensics.

SIU spokesman Kristy Denette said the video taken from the camera mounted on the police officer body involved in the shooting would be part of the investigation.
