CIREBON - The legal team of six convicts in the murder case of Vina and Eky (2016) filed a judicial review (PK) of the case to the Cirebon District Court (PN), West Java, by including a number of new evidences or novums. "Today we went to the Cirebon District Court to register and submit PK's memory. With the novum presented, it was appropriate, ” said Jutek Bongso, a representative of the legal team of six convicts when giving a statement at the Cirebon District Court, Antara, Wednesday, August 14. Jutek explained that the novum submitted was very strong and relevant to this case, and it was claimed that it could cancel the verdict or verdict previously handed down to the six convicts. He mentioned that the six convicts who submitted the PK efforts were Eka Sandi, Rivaldi, Supriyanto, Eko Ramdani, Hadi Saputra and Jaya. "For Sudirman, we are not included in this PK because the person concerned did not give us power," he said. According to him, one of the novums in the spotlight was the change in the testimony of key witnesses, namely Dede and the revocation of the Premier League testimony in the 2016 deaths of Vina and Eky in Cirebon. In addition, his party has also obtained the results of the extraction of the victim's cellphone which shows that Vina is still communicating with her friend until 22.14 WIB the night of the incident. "The novum we present, as our colleagues (media) already know. That the novum we convey is certainly the one that has developed and the public already knows," said Jutek. Furthermore, Jutek revealed that his party had collected information from two new witnesses who saw the chronology of the case firsthand. Based on this information, he said, the deaths of Vina and Eky were strongly suspected to have been caused by an accident, not murder. The legal team plans to present about 50 expert witnesses and facts to strengthen the PK's petition. However, they will re-screen the witnesses who are considered the most relevant to this case. Jutek added that his party also submitted a request so that the six convicts could be presented directly at the PK trial, and hoped that Iptu Rudiana and other key witnesses, namely Aep, could be present to provide information. "We will ask for the presence of the six convicts because that is the authority of the assembly," he said.

With these novums, the legal team hopes that the Cirebon District Court can submit the important files to the Supreme Court (MA) so that the PK application can be granted.
