3 Victims Of Sexual Abuse Of High School Teachers In Cianjur Get Threats, Police Intervene To Provide Security Guarantees

CIANJUR - Police Resort Cianjur, West Java, guarantees the confidentiality of the identity and safety of victims of sexual abuse by AF teachers in Sukaluyu District when reporting. It is suspected that more than three victims received threats from the perpetrators.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cianjur Police, AKP Tono Listianto, said that the arrest of the obscene teacher was after officers conducted an investigation and pursuit of the perpetrators who were officially reported by three victims.

"The perpetrator taught at a high school in Sukaluyu District, only three students officially reported to the Cianjur Police, so the arrests were made after officers conducted an in-depth investigation of the report," he said in Cianjur, Antara, Sunday, February 16.

His party suspected that there were more than three victims. Most do not dare to report for fear of threats from the perpetrators. The police, he stressed, would guarantee the safety and security of victims who report, including their identity confidentiality.

During the depraved act, the perpetrator often ordered the victim to take something in his office and followed by the perpetrator, while in the room the perpetrator launched his lust for the victim.

"The method was to take one item in the person's office, after a few moments the victim left, the perpetrators immediately followed him, who launched his lecherous lust for the victim, it was suspected that there were more than three victims, including alumni," he said.

According to Tono, the perpetrators will be charged with Article 82 paragraphs 1 and 2 of Law (UU) Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection, with the threat of imprisonment for a maximum of 15 years and a fine of IDR 5 billion plus a third of the crimes committed because of unscrupulous teachers.

"We guarantee the safety and identity of every victim who reports because there are more than three suspected victims who do not dare to report because they receive threats from these unscrupulous teachers," he said.

He said the perpetrator was charged with the most severe article because he was not cooperative when two summons, and even had time to flee out of town until finally an arrest was made on Friday (11/2) at his hiding place in Sukaluyu District.
