JAKARTA - The ability to line up is not the only determinant of Paskibraka members getting an important position in the August 17 ceremony. Focus, emotional stability to leadership ability are tested before someone is appointed as a bearer of a tray, flag bearer or group leader.

Deputy Head of BPIP Rima Agristina revealed the process after the inauguration of 76 national Paskibraka at the State Palace, Jakarta, Saturday, August 15.

According to Rima, each member is tested during the focus of education and training before being placed in their respective positions.

"For their selection in positions such as the ceremonial leader, duty bearers, flag bearers, presenters, group leaders, they are seen not only as line-by-line competence," said Rima.

BPIP also sees the ability of members to maintain focus and emotional stability.

Rima said that prospective officers must be able to remain calm and not easily swayed by various things that can interfere with concentration.

"So they can be stable, their emotions are stable, and of course they are calm, they can bring their friends to carry out this task well," he said.

Leadership ability is also a consideration.

During the training, the members had the opportunity to take turns in various positions. The assessment was carried out one by one before the final lineup was determined.

"From there they are seen one by one, then we determine who is in each position," said Rima.

A total of 76 members of the Paskibraka from 38 provinces have been confirmed by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. They will serve in the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17.
