Celebrating RI's 79th Anniversary In Bandung, Gasibu Field Closed August 14-19

JABAR - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of West Java (Jabar) will temporarily close the Gasibu Field, Bandung City on August 14-19 2024 as part of the celebration of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day.

Head of the General Bureau of the West Java Regional Secretariat, Tulus Arifan, said that the closure of the field and the Gasibu Parking for six days was from sports activities and others, in order to prepare the Gasibu Field as the peak location for the commemoration of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day.

"We apologize to the public, especially the residents of Bandung City for the temporary closure of the Gasibu Field," said Tulus in a statement in Bandung, Monday, August 12, which was confiscated by Antara.

Although the entire field and parking area of Gasibu is temporarily closed, the road next to Gasibu, both Sentot Alibasya Street and Hayam Wuruk Street, remain normal.

This step was taken so that people who pass around the Gasibu area can still carry out their activities without obstacles.

According to Tulus, the Gasibu Field will be reopened to the public on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

"The day after the commemoration ceremony for the 79th Anniversary of West Java Province which falls every August 19," he said.
